Science communicator, entertainer and Top 40 under 40 alumni, the Great Orbax has traveled the world as part of the 25x Guinness World Record breaking stunt show ‘The Monsters of Schlock’. Orbax has appeared in Ripley’s: Believe It or Not!, on Outrageous Acts of Science and was even a regular guest on Discovery Channel’s top rated science show Daily Planet. A graduate of the University of Guelph, Orbax continues to work in the Department of Physics where he teaches several thousand students a year.
The Great Orbax will host this year’s Innovation Expo!
“We are excited The Great Orbax will MC the event, highlighting some of the great innovations demonstrated among our exhibitors,” said Mickey Campeau, Innovation Guelph program manager and Innovation Expo event coordinator. “I’m sure he’ll be a big hit with exhibitors, guests and students!”
Recently, The Great Orbax, along with the Physics Club at the University of Guelph, earned another Guinness Word Record for ‘elephant toothpaste’ as reported by CBC!
“Innovation is happening everywhere these days, across all sectors and all age groups. Being exposed to a diverse set of innovators is one of the most exciting things about the Expo that I’m looking forward to,” said Orbax. “You never know what random idea can spark the next business success story! I’m excited to meet the minds behind the products and learn their stories, which is something you can only do at an Expo like this one.”
